With many TVs most people are disappointed with the quality of sound- especially for those who don’t have home theater surround systems. However this TV puts out great sound with two 8 watt speakers. There is also an equalizer menu with presets and 5 adjustable bars. It has Dolby Digital Sound. If you want to hook it up to your surround system use the coaxial digital audio out, RCA (white /Red) out or headphone out.
With this TV you will never run out of inputs and outputs. It has options for headphones, analog audio output, and coaxial digital audio output. Three HDMI’s two composite, one Component video, one RF, one PC video, one PC audio and a USB port.

Our reviews are never complete until we find some negative reviews. A few customers complained that the TV would power on unexpectedly. There is a solution for this. Download the firmware update at TCl website into any FAT formatted device such as a Phone. After it says “Completed” wait 10- 30 seconds BEFORE you unplug the USB cord.
Some customers complained about some glare. This could be due to the fact that the screen is glossy and not matte.
“After hooking up my video source with HDMI (not included) and making sure it’s 1080p, I tried watching some dark movies as a stress test. I didn’t notice any obvious picture defects. Some customers complained that the headphone out was not working. So if you use headphones with your TV which most people don’t, make sure this is not a problem.
Some people complained about input lag when hooking up their game consoles. However it seems that they used the yellow composite RCA cables which do not display interlaced video. IF you want to hook up this to your Xbox 360 you have to do so through HDMI. Change the “HDTV” setting to 1080p and “Reference Levels” to “Expanded”. You should get no input lag.
Some people stated that they did not get high definition picture when they hooked up their PCs to this TV. However this is easy to fix. You need to connect your Laptop/PC to this TV using the VGA cable. Make sure to change your Windows monitor settings to “unhide modes that this monitor cannot display”. This will ensure that you get the native resolution of 1920 x 1080. After doing this you should be able to open Word documents, or other digital media and read then with no problems.
Some people did not like that this TV does not have internet streaming. However for the price and the fact that people have Laptop and PCs which can stream from online this should not be a problem for many people. There is no point of paying extra for a feature that most people don’t use.
